Ht. 6'3/Wt. 205 (BR/TR). Selected in the 48th roundof the 2001amateur draft by the Cleveland Indians but chose to playin college. Eventually signed as a non-drafted free agent with the Los Angeles Dodgers, splitting time with the Rookie League Ogden Raptors (PIO) and Class-A Columbus Catfish (SAL) in '06. Spent ’07 with Ogden and Class-A Great Lake Loons (MIDW) and, after his release, moved on to the independent Northern League’s Schaumburg Flyers in ’08. Traded RHP Matt Dahlin to the Edmonton Cracker Cats of the Golden Baseball League in exhange for Jonathan Castro (SS), Santo Domingo, D.R., Ht. 6'2/Wt. 185 (BS/TR). Jonathan Castro was signed as a non-drafted free agent in 2003 by the Montreal Expos. Spent the ’05 season with the GCL Nationals and Vermont (NYPL) where he hit .269. Split ’06 season with Vermont and Savannah (SAL), batting .214 and .337 respectively before a late season promotion to Potomac (CARO) where he hit .300. Played with Hagerstown (SAL) in ’07, batting just .164. After his release, signed with Edmonton of independent Golden League, starting entire season as club’s shortstop and hitting .314.
Feb. 9, 2009 Signed Jeremy Jones (OF/2B), Fayetteville, NC.  Ht. 6'0/Wt. 190, BS/TR.  Selected in the 25th round of the 2006 amateur draft by the Colorado Rockies despite receiving a medical redshirt following a sophomore season at North Carolina A&T in which he hit .403.  Chose not to sign andto complete his degree.  After batting .323 his junior season with the Aggies, returned to pre-injury form his senior year, batting .404 with 91 hits, 13 doubles, 3 triples, 13 home runs and 63 RBI.  Named blackcollegebaseball.com's Player of the Year in 2005 and earned first-team All-Mid Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) honors.

Signed Kyle Albright (3B/1B/OF), Daytona Beach, FL.  Ht. 6'0/Wt. 195 (BR/TR).  Played college ball at Embry-Riddle University for two years, batting .362 with 14 HR, 75 hits, 16 2B, 3 3B and 56 RBI his senior season.  Hit .348 his junior year with 6 HR and 54 RBI.  At Pasco-Hernando CC, he hit .350 with 7 HR, 10 2B and 25 RBI and was named the team's MVP after his sophomore season.

Jan. 28, 2009 Signed Jimmy Baker (3B/1B), Chelsea, MI. Ht. 6'2/Wt. 205 (BR/TR). Spent two years at Kellogg Community College where he led his team to the NJCAA World Series and one year at Centenary College (LA) where he was named to the All-Conference team. After an injury sidelined him early in his junior year at Creighton University, he transferred to NAIA Spring Arbor University where he led the nation in hitting with a .507 BA as a senior. Split his first year of pro ball between the Wichita Wingnuts of the American Association and River City Rascals of the Frontier League, batting .261 in 73 AB.

Signed Maikel De La Rosa (SS/2B), Newark, NJ.  Ht. 5'6/Wt. 150 (BS/TR).  Had career BA of .327 in four years at NCAA Div. III Keane University, including .366 his senior year. Had a .947 career fld%, including .967 as the regular shortstop his senior year.  Coaxed 81 walks while striking out just 63 times and stole 78 of 92 bases including 30 in both his junior and senior seasons.

Signed Jonas Fester (SS), Dallas, TX. Ht. 6'0/Wt. 195 (BR/TR).  Served as captain for Johns Hopkins University team that lost to Trinity in the Div. Signed Dan Fyvie (RHP), Howell, MI.  Ht. 6'1/Wt. 205.  Fyvie was selected by the Oakland A's in the 33rd round of the 2001 MLB amateur draft after graduating from Fenton H.S.  Spent five years in the A's organization and a sixth year with the West Michigan Whitecaps, a Detroit Tigers Class-A affiliate.  In 2007, pitched briefly for the Frontier League's Kalamazoo Kings.  Compiled career Minor League record of 11-8 with 14 saves while pitching to an ERA of 3.64.  In 192.2 IP, allowed just 182 hits while walking 75 and striking out 172 batters.

Signed Arshwin Asjes (RHP), Willemstad, Curacao.  Ht. 6'3/Wt. 220.  Asjes was selected by the Cleveland Indians in the 34th round of the 2005 MLB amateur draft after his first year at Gloucester County (NJ) College, but chose to attend Temple University where he made 13 starts in both his sophomore and junior seasons before working out of the Owls bullpen his senior year.  Worked 36 innings as the ball club's closer (0-2 with 10 saves), pitching to an ERA of 4.00 while allowing 35 hits, walking just 9 batters and striking out 32.

Signed Anthony Gressick (RHP, OF), Lancaster, OH.  Ht. 6'2/Wt. 200 (BR/TR).  Gressick was selected by the Cincinnati Reds in the 26th round of the 2006 MLB amateur draft and played Rookie ball for the Billings (MT) Mustangs of the Pioneer League in 2006 before splitting time with Class-A Dayton Dragons of the Midwest League and Advanced-A Sarasota Reds of the Florida State League in 2007 and 2008.  In 161.2 innings, pitched to an ERA of 4.86 and compiled an 11-11 record allowing 169 hits, walking 76 batters while striking out 133.  At Dayton, hit .241 with 2 doubles and 3 HR in 54 AB.  Three-time All-MAC first-team selection while at Ohio University.  Named Rawlings' third-team All-American his senior season.  Finished his college career ranked third on Ohio University's all-time list with 36 home runs, fourth with 384 total bases, fifth with 44 doubles, sixth with 228 hits and sixth with 157 RBI.
